Autumn is definitely in the air so I thought I would make an Autumnal card as my Design Team Project.

I cut a card base with my Fiskars Paper Trimmer and then cut a scalloped edge with my Scalloped Lace Border Punch.  I matted and layered papers and then sewed around them with my sewing machine before mounting them onto the card front.

I cut a strip of brown cardstock with my Fiskars Paper Trimmer to make the trunk, inked the edges and stuck to the card base. I cut three leaves with my Fiskars ShapeCutter and Leaf Template. This is so easy to use and cuts such neat shapes. I inked the edges of the leaves and sewed a line through the centre with my sewing machine and then shaped the leaves by folding on the sewed line. I then stuck them to the trunk to make a tree shape.

I cut two different size circles with the circle cutter matted them together, cut them into quarters so that one will fit in the top right hand corner of the card. Sew around the edges. Add a greeting to the top right hand corner.

Using the Easy Stamp Press, stamp a bird onto two different papers and cut out and paper piece together. Stick to the bottom right of the card. Make another for the inside of the card.

Decorate the inside with backing paper and white card adding sewing to the layers. Stick the second bird inside the card.

I really liked using the templates to make a tree for this card and I love the Scalloped Lace Border Punch, it has become one of my favourite tools to decorate card bases and for adding interest.

I hope you will be inspired to use your own templates and create a lovely card to celebrate the wonderful colours of Autumn.

Love all the stitching on your card, must have taken a long time but is really effective.

I was just wondering what ink you use for stamping, your images are always really clear.

Hi, I either use Stazon or Impress ink if I am going to use my Promarkers to colour in.
