DT Project – Leanne – Thrifty Scrapping
by Tinkypen
Like any scrapbooker I know, I have a BAGFUL of scraps. Now I do try to ‘Edit’ this on a regular basis – but I also try and look there first for creating a layout. It is also my go to for adding embellishments to a page or for creating a card.

To create this page I chose:
*2 4×6 photos
*1 whole sheet of Kraft cardstock
*A selection of scraps which co-ordinated with my photos
*Fiskars Everywhere Window Punch
*Fiskars Star Squeeze Punch
*Some letter thickers

I punched a row of scallop circles along the bottom of the page, using the guide (which comes with the punch) to help space out the wholes.
I selected some scraps and used a punch shape as a guide for how big each piece needed to be.

I then glued these to the back side of the paper. Used the star punches to add some embellishment to each of the punched sections.
I cut these out in a line – and then used the negative piece as the background for the title.

Added some journalling and voila – a quick and simple page using up those scraps.
You could take this idea further by
*creating a whole background sheet in the same fashion
*using the punched line on a card (make sure you then glue a piece of patterned paper over the back side)
*punch out a row in contrast piece of card stock and glue on top of the background sheet.
I would love to see what you create using this idea.
