Tracie

Hi Everyone,

I have made a quick and simple card today to show you just to send to somone for any reason. I think sometimes its nice just to show someone you are thinking of them.

Like I say this card is sooo simple that there are no in-progress pics as its all super easy, especially with Fiskars tools.

Supplies used:

I started by printing 4 co-ordinating papers. I used printables as I find I am more creative with them as I know if I make a mistake I can just reprint them. I cut one piece 5.5″ square and one piece 5″ square using my Fiskars Paper Trimmer.

I chose another piece and cut a 5.5″ circle using the brilliant super sized circle templates and the ShapeCutter Plus. I must admit to struggling a little with the cutter until I realised I had the template the wrong way up!!

So, little tip, put the template down so the FISKARS wording is readable and then it cuts like butter! OMG no more wonky mis-shapen hand cut circles for me, its excellent and so quick too.

I used my PC to print my ‘just a note..’ sentiment onto the final piece of paper. I then used the Notepad Border Punch to make it look like I had torn it from my notebook.

I also used Distress Inks to ink the edges of each piece before assembling together with 3D foam pads. Finally I used some lovely twine to tie around the circles to finish my card.

I hope you like my first DT card, I am off now to find more things to cut perfect circles in!!
