DT project – Pool Party ~ by Steph
by Steph Baxter
I’m being inspired by the lovely weather again this week, so I’ve decided to make a little postcard that serves as an invitation to a pool party.
It was very simple to make, so I know you’ll have no problems knocking out a tonne of these! (I apologise in advance for my awful chipped nail varnish in the pictures!!)
1. Cut a piece of cardstock to 4 x6 using a Fiskars portable trimmer and set aside (this will be the background piece).

2. Spray yellow ink mist on to a piece of white or cream cardstock. (You can just skip this step out if you already have a piece of yellow cardstock though!)

3. Using the Shape Cutter Plus and Craft Mat, cut out a sun shape from the Seaside template, and adhere to the front of the card.
4. Cut out parts of a circle coming off the edge of a piece of patterned paper or cardstock and adhere to your card. Trim around the edges to get rid of any excess paper or cardstock.

5. Punch a strip of blue cardstock using the Boundary Water Border Punch and adhere to the card.
6. Use the Stamp Block Set and some alphabet stamps to spell out a message.
And that’s it! Can you believe how quick and simple that is? It looks like we might be enjoying this weather for a little while more, so why not make some invitations for a BBQ or something?
