Embellishment Box ~ Jayne Loughlin
by Clare
Good day Fiskarettes
Above I have shown you a box I decorated to put Embellishments in. You could decorate any type of box but this one has little compartments that are great for Buttons,Brads,Eyelets or anything small. My box came with Nuts & Seeds in & soon as I saw it I thought I’ll keep it & decorate it, I just washed out the containers, Covered the lid with Kraft patterned paper. Then added two strips of Border punched patterned paper. The border punch I used was Apron Lace.
You have a tiny little strip when punching that is usually waste but I even used this to put behind the flower.

To make the flower you’ll need 8 Large Circles punched with the Large Circle Squeeze punch. One XL Circle punched with the XL Circle Squeeze punch, Some stick on gems, Glue dots, Ink (opt).
Pinch 7 of the smaller circles as I have done in the photo below…

Then fold back edges in the next photo below….

Next I’ve glued the petals around the base of the XL Circle (this just makes it easier to pick up and glue onto your project) forming a ring of petals. You will need lots of glue dots the big juicy ones are better seeing the petals are not flat.
Glue gems or pearls onto the last Circle (ink edges if wanted) Add lots of glue dots to the back and place onto the flower. Take the off cuts of the punch and roll round like a tight swiss roll….unravel a little and glue behind the flower.
The inside of the box was quite nice with Sunflowers & grass so I left it plain. The only thing I did do was cover a little of the wording with a strip of kraft paper and border punched this too.
Then I filled the compartments with Buttons and it’s finished x
