Fiskars tools used:
Border Punch: Bracket
Clear stamps: Butterflies

On today’s layout I’ve used a border punch to make a shaped mat for my photograph. Here’s how:

1.   Punch some strips of scrap paper with the Bracket Punch. Stick them together to make a ‘frame’ using your photo as a guide.

2.   Place the frame onto a piece of cardstock and ink through it to colour. It helps to use temporary adhesive to keep the frame in place while you ink.

3.   Remove the frame and cut out the resulting shaped photo mat! (TIP! Distress Ink can look very uneven when wet but this piece dried with a flat even colour).

I used the trail on one of the Butterflies to stamp the little tag, and repeated the Bracket Punch on inked card to match my photo frame. The photo mount is raised very slightly on 1mm 3D foam to make a feature of it.

Ideally I would like to avoid slpeoirs. One of the things on my to-do list is implement tags like
…
for notes/synopsis/character fields that will be invisible by default unless you ask to be spoiled. Then we’ll be able to do both.
