Totoro

Fiskars tools used:
Squeeze Punch: Scalloped Circle
Squeeze Punch: Medium Flower
Clear Stamps: Country Flowers

For today’s project I’ve created a mini gift box complete with handmade flowers created from punched shapes.

To make the flowers:

1) Punch three scalloped circles and one flower. Cut the circles as shown, cutting a slit in the first one and pieces out of the others so each layer will be smaller than the previous one.

2) Overlap the edges of the flowers where they are cut, gluing the overlap in place. Shape the circles with your fingers. Cut out the bases so they will sit a bit more flat.

3) Layer up with silicone glue adding the punched flower shape and a gem in the centre.

The box is coloured with Inka Gold and then stamped with the Country Flowers image in brown StazOn. I then simply added panels of patterned paper to match the flowers and a length of ribbon as shown. The lid is finished with a cluster of the layered flowers.

This is so pretty. And it would be a great Christmas gift for someone, filled with chocs or jewellery. Thanks for sharing! x
