2009
I was inspired to do an Advent Diary by this project here that I saw on Two Peas.
The above album was featured in Scrapbook Inspirations earlier this year, where the brief was to create a simple decorated album. It had been returned to me and was just sitting there is a cupboard waiting for a purpose! It was decorated with the chalked chipboard with some of the rub-on underneath.
I added more rub-ons to make it more Christmassy and added chipboard pieces to the spine.
Using the jpg download available on the project on 2Peas I printed off the lined and numbered sheets.
I also added some decorative envelopes to the album using the New Envelope Template from Fiskars – one of the new 2010 products available in the UK from the end of January 2010.
Cut out the envelope with the ShapeCutter, using any 12×12 sheet or similar. I wanted a Kraft effect envelope and so used some kraft file folders I bought from Staples a while back. Such a bargain -I think it was 100 folders for only a couple of pound and its perfect kraft paper for crafting with. And I do use some of them as folders too actually, lol.
Fold the envelope and glue.
I then glued the envelope onto some red card and inserted into the album. These will hold receipts, notes, any bits and pieces I want to keep and I can always make up more if needed!
It all looks nice and neat at the moment, but I am hoping that by 25th December it will be one gorgeously chunky album with a lovely reminder of my very favourite month of the whole year….
