Morning. Todays Challenge I decided to make a Layout in Cold icy colours. This photo I’ve had for a while & it’s a little out of focus so if it went into a Album on it’s own it might not be so effective but all the Bling & pretty punched paper takes away the fact the Photo is a tiny bit out of focus. I didn’t want to hide the photo away as it captured a little smiley moment in our lives.
Items needed: 6″ x 4″ Photo, Patterned paper,1 sheet die cut 12″ patterned paper, Effervescence Border punch, Trimmer, Scissors, Circle Everywhere Punch, Blue ink, flowers, Pearls & bling, ribbon, Adhesive, alpha stickers , Journaling card,Foam pads.
Instructions: Firstly you need to cut 3 pieces of pattern paper in co ordinating colours. The first 19cms x 11cms, The second 21cms x 12cms & the last 23cms x 13cms.
Punch both of the shorter sides of each piece you cut previously using the Fiskars Effervescence border Punch.
Mat then glue your photograph onto the smallest piece central.
Glue the above three pieces on a angle starting just in from the left hand facing corner.. When happy with placement glue (see finished pic to see my placement of pieces) these do not have to be exact or the same.
Next I punched a Circle using the Everywhere Punch.. Keep the outer piece for a project another time. Use the middle piece this time. It has holes punched in it and is ideal to thread Ribbon through. I Threaded the Ribbon through two of the holes and tied a bow at the front (see 1st photo below) the last hole I pushed back down flat with a bone folder and it dissapeared.(I’ve also added a photo to show you the back so you can see where I threaded Ribbon more easily, Photo 2). Place this Ribbon tied Circle at the Photos right facing bottom Corner & glue.

Layer lots of Flowers & Ink the Journaling card then add around the punched papers corners on the right facing side (again check placement on finished L/O) Add Bling and Journaling to the piece if not already done so.

Cut a piece of paper 8cms x 5cms for the title. Punch the shorter sides with the same border Punch as above. Add the Alpha Stickers and raise on thick foam pads. You can add two foam pads on top of each other if yours are a little too thin. Place this lapping over the photos top right facing corner.
Lastly I have added a little Bunting to the left top corner. This just breaks up the White space. I’ve decorated the bunting with Alpha stickers and Inked the edges. These are not glued on any Ribbon but just glued along in a line.

I like the simplicity of this layout and how cold the surrounding papers make the page. tfs
