Papercraft – Decorated folder
by Clare
This is a large ring binder, slightly bigger than 12×12, so quite daunting to decorate! And equally as awkward to photograph!
I had originally decorated this in a very simple style for Scrapbook Inspirations magazine (remember that one?!), so the paper on the cover was already there but I took off some dangly bits on the spine and virtually started again as I wanted a prettier look.
I took advantage of the fabulously large Circle Templates and the ShapeCutter to create an extra large circle that fitted into the centre of a paper doily.
Do you have any projects using the ShapeCutter? If you do then we would love to see!

Other Products Used:
- Binder
- Doily
- Paper
- Flowers
- Ribbon, gems
- Chipboard Buttons
- Tissue Tape
- Viva Decor 3D Glitter Gel

Instructions:
- As the binder was already covered in a patterned paper I didn’t have to do this, but if you were starting from scratch then you would need to cover the binder with a large piece of 12×12 paper as your base.
- I then did a little frill along the top using the Tim Holtz Tissue Tape.

- Cut a large circle using the ShapeCutter and large Circle SuperShape Template. Ink the edges and adhere to the centre of the paper doily.

- Adhere to the front of the binder. Place your flowers and embellishments by the doily. The chipboard buttons were covered with Viva Decor 3D Glitter Gel, which is gorgeously thick and glittery.
- Tie ribbon around the binder cover.
