~ Pretty in Blue! ~
by Craft-Tea-Anna
The main focus for this project was a Magnolia Tilda girl that had been coloured and cut out by my daughter ages ago, along with a snowflake from our Christmas decorations!
I ruled out a tag on the back of a piece of Coredinations Whitewash card using the guidelines on my Fiskars Cutting Board to help me and then cut out using my large old Fiskars Sewing Shears which are perfect for this sort of work as the bottom blade is flat.
I lightly sanded all the edges of the tag to help them pick up the Distress Ink I would use later on. I used Memento Ink (London Fog) to faintly stamp the text, reindeer and sleigh.
I die cut a pretty border to go on the bottom part of the tag, lightly applied Distress Ink to the edges of my tag and border, which was then carefully stuck down around its outer edges so that other elements could be ‘tucked in’
I cut and sanded a house shape, using the guidelines on my Fiskars Cutting Board and kissed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and added a liberal dash of Rock Candy Stickles to everything!
At the same time I added more Rock Candy to the Tim Holtz Tickets.
After the tickets and little house were dry, I assembled the elements of the tag using both PVA glue and double sided sticky pads.
To finish it off, I added a sentiment sticker from K&Co ‘cute as a button’

Very effective, love the details! And what a good use of the snowflake. You are inspiring me to go and look in the shops for Christmas decoration, there might be some bargains especially with the discounts you usually get in January…
Agnes, thank you for your lovely comment, my snowflakes came from the local Poundland I think – do you have one near you?
What a great tag to put on any present, I like all the different details put together. Thanks for sharing.
I love tags, this is a really cute tag with lots of different skills and techniques to make a wonderful tag. I love the little girl and the button.
