Step by Step ~ Sewing ~ By Jayne Loughlin

Hiya 

         I’ve been messing around with my Sewing kit & come up with this.

You will need: Fabric, Frame, Paint, Thread, Buttons, Glue, Scissors, Heart Template.

Instructions: Take the glass out of the frame if you have glass, Collect the backing board and the Frame , You will not need the glass unles using a box frame.

I cut the Fabric with Pinking Shears a few inches larger than the size of the back board and folded over the edges so it would’nt fray. Don’t Glue yet

I then Sewed Buttons in a Heart Shape using a Heart Template cut out of paper as a guide onto the Fabric.  You could also just Glue the buttons on if you have a strong glue..glue dots might work but do this when Fabric is glued to back board.

Glue the Piece onto the backboard and fold and glue over the edges.

I’ve taken the glass out of a frame but you could use a box Frame if you have one.  I then painted the frame and when dry reconstructed the pieces again.
