Morning! Ooooh, I have had some fun using the Fiskars ShapeBoss in a different way to how it is normally used :O)) I am really loving stencilling at the moment and could see straight away that the templates for the ShapeBoss could be used for stencilling… so I had a little play with some Distress Ink and Cut & Dry foam, dabbing the ink through the star shaped aperture to make custom made embellishments for my card.

The base of my card was cut using a Fiskars Paper Trimmer (IMO, the BEST cutter!) and I then used the ShapeCutter on the Freehand cut – this is the orange piece that clips to the base of the cutter, I roughly sketched a moon shape and then used the freehand bit to cut it out, using the Fiskars cutting mat underneath my cardstock. I coloured the moon with a ProMarker and then stamped the little girl image, cut her out and popped her onto 3D foam and sat her a-top of the moon.

The stars I had stencilled were then cut out using my Fiskars scissors… these are just grand because they cut right to the tip and don’t make cutting out little images fiddly. The stars were popped onto 3D foam and arranged around the main image – I added some bling with glitter glue and then stamped my sentiment…

A simple little card which just goes to show that you can use those templates in different ways… I have an idea for my next piece using the template in a different way again :O)) I will just say… if you do use your template for stencilling, make sure you don’t use a permanent ink because this will stain the template!
Thanks for looking and have a fabby day :O)) Hels x

I have dabbled using the Shapeboss this way too. A great idea for the competition winners as I think some of them won Shapebosses this time x
Gorgeous card Hels – love using the ShapeBoss this way. So versatile isn’t it!
Great tips, I’m starting my Christmas cards next week so those stars will make great embellishments.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks peeps x
