I have made a layout using my CUTE Owl Fiskars Squeeze Punch again. He’s so cute he’ll be featuring on a lot of my crafting projects I expect. Today I’ve used the outer piece as a Stencil adding Ink to dab through the pieces. :)

You’ll need: Cardstock, patterned paper, 6×4″ photo, Owl Squeeze Punch, Boundry Water Border Punch, Adhesive, Ink pad brown, journal pen, Alpha stickers or Die cuts,Trimmer, Art knife (opt)

Instructions: Punch 3 Owls next to each other on a plainish piece of Patterned paper keep the outer piece and glue the inner little punched out pieces onto the piece of card, Trim around the Owls so you have a piece like this …

Cut 4 pieces of Patterned paper(see below) A=19 x 24cms, B= 10 x10cms, C=11.5 x 7cms & D= 9cms x3.5cms. These have been punched using the Boundary water Border punch look at which sides need to be punched below ****PLEASE NOTE piece ‘C’ Has been turned upside down as you couldnt see it very well on the white piece.***

Add a Title to piece ‘C’ using stickers or die cuts leaving space to print a Owl on the right facing side

Use the owls you have punched previously but this time the outer piece use this as a stencil and place on the paper piece you punched for the title above. You can have a practise first if need be.  I’ve also trimmed one Owl off to do this it’s easier… Dab an Ink pad over the top of the owl piece so the ink goes through onto the Title piece ‘C’..

I have doodled over the top of this Owl but you could leave it plain it is still cute, I’ve also added a Title now leaving a little on the left facing side to tuck behind another piece….

Start Gluing the pieces down (see below) ***NOTE I’ve cut out some details in the paper behind to overlap the edges of other paper but this is optional. You just cut a few selected items to lap over using a Art Knife use your pieces of patterned paper as placement where these pieces are going to overlap and cut !

Mat your Photos leaving the paper 1/2 cm bigger all the way around.

Glue the photos onto the layout. See placement above (finished layout)

Last few things to do …. Ink the 3 Owls you prepaired earlier. Cut some strips for Journaling (these are thin strips of plainish paper , handwritten and trimmed) Glue these onto the layout above the Title (see finished layout for placement) Add the Owl Piece on top as if they are pearched there.

That’s It !!! Hope you like :)

Lovely layout and fantastic clear instructions.

I like how the background is cut away to show some of the clouds, very clever.
