Tag – Splash!

by Clare

Guess where I have been the past few days??  By the sea!  And with our July/August Fiskarette Theme of  ‘Summer’ in mind here, I have made a summery tag!

Lovely Distress Ink was used to colour the manilla tag to give the effect of a bead and sea/sky.  I actually coloured the whole tag in first and then stamped the image.  I was then able to colour the image with Copic pens and they completely covered the colours of the Distress Ink, so that was easier than having to mask the image before distressing!

The little hole effect was made using the lovely Fiskars Hand Punches – small and medium circles.

I have been told, on more than one occasion, that the image looks a little like me!  Although I do not have a swimming costume like that, and my legs aren’t quite that thin, lol… :)

Fiskars Products Used:

Other Products Used:

  • Manilla Tag
  • Distress Ink, Memento Ink
  • Stamp
  • Fibres
  • Copic/ProMarker Pens
  • Rub-on sentiment

Instructions:

  • Using the Distress Ink pads, a craft sheet and tool, colour in the tag.
  • Stamp the image using Memento Ink.  Colour in.
  • Add the holes, using the Hand Punches in a random effect.
  • Add the rub-on sentiment.
  • Add fibres to the top of the tag.  Do you remember when these were really popular?  Looking for something suitable for this tag and I came across some which were ideal – must use them more often again!
