Morning Peeps,

Cor, there have been some utterly divine projects on here recently, I have just been catching up! I am here today with my DT hat on *actually, I haven’t really got a hat, but you know what I mean LOL* I have been staring at my ShapeBoss for a few weeks now, thinking of different ways of using the stencils other than in the ShapeBoss itself and decided I would use some Texture Paste and see what happened… and… result! It works!

I used the Sampler Template that comes with the ShapeBoss and took just part of the stencil and popped it onto a little canvas board, I then used a spatula and spread the texture paste over the stencil… I tried to keep the same level of paste right across so it wasn’t too uneven. Carefully removing the stencil… you get a fab design of paste… so I then picked up the excess from the actual stencil and dabbled it onto the top corner of the canvas board.

Next, using a heatgun, I heated and dried the texture paste…this stuff is great because it goes a bit bubbly and bumpy and gives a really raised effect.

I added paints over the top of the design, starting with a pale one *Traditional Tan - if you have read my blog you will know I looove this stuff LOL* a bit of black and then some gold metallic paint to emphasise the raised bits. Finally I used a stipple brush and dragged a teensy bit of red paint over the edges… this just adds in a subtle amount of colour.

I used the Fiskars XL Flower Squeeze Punch to make a big blossom - punching out loads of flowers using old book pages - I then coloured them with inks and stuck them together to make a flouncy bloom. The sentiment was made using a good old Dymo tape machine, I popped some beaded fringing on the bottom of the board.. and lastly, I made a hanger for the piece using some rusty wire.

I hope you like this little hangy piece… I am now looking at the ShapeBoss to see what else I can do with it :O)) Thanks for looking … see ya soon…

Hels x

Hey Hels Hon! I’ve been seeing you use Terra a few times and I am so intrigued! I have the Viva pearl pens, but haven’t experimented with the Terra yet - I’ll def be adding that to my list. I love your canvas! The flower is gorgeous, and the texture, and the paint, and the Dymo - love it all! Awesome job!
