Hello!
For my UKS Blog Hop project today, I am going to tell you how to create your own gift box using a simple template which you can download.

Gift boxes serve a multitude of uses – I recently made a set of 25 for an advent calendar for a magazine, but as well as having them as a calendar, I also plan to make a bowl full of these gorgeous “carton” style boxes to fill full of truffles or jelly beans and have as emergency gifts for when unexpected visitors ring my doorbell at Christmas :)

They make amazing table favours, and what’s best is, you can alter the size depending on your printer to create varied sizes!

Here are some steps and tips to create your perfect gift box:

1: Trim a piece of cardstock or patterned scrapbook paper to A4
2: Work out which side your printer prints on, you will want to print on the reverse of the card.
3: Go ahead and print the template directly onto your chosen card.
4: Cut the template out with scissors or craft knife.
5: Score along the dashed lines and cut along the solid lines.

TIP:
Score your card slowly and carefully – as you will want the folds to be perfect :)

6: Make sure you fold all your scored lines before you start to assemble the template.
7: First step is to add your tape to the three places I have marked on the template.
8: After you have attached and peeled the tape, fold the template – it will come together really easily and you will soon have a very cute and useful gift box to decorate!

How I decorated mine:
I used the Fiskars Scalloped Circle Squeeze Punch to create a flower for the front of the craft box – snip towards the centre of the punched shape between the scallops – and simply scrunch it up! – Add some glitter and bling and a gift tag and you have a beautiful gift box!

i have been making these for a long time i did’nt have a template so thankyou for this. i made 100 for christmas put teddies in them or at side of them sold them at £1 EACH MADE £100 FOR LOCAL CHURCH roof. all the teddies were donated and the comments of the boxes alone were good so thankyou for a proper template
