Monday Challenge ~ Animals by Jayne loughlin.

I have made the above layout for the challenge this week. It is about my old cat ‘Pepsi’. The title is a little weird as she isn’t Black but it’s a little saying my husband says a lot so I thought I would add it ! I never had a story about this picture so I thought it was a funny title and great to show off the lovely photo.

You will need : Bling (crystals), Alpha stickers, 3 different Pattern papers, Scissors, Trimmer, Knife, Daisy border punch and embossing border punch, Circle Squeeze punch, Ink & adhesive.

Instructions: First I cut round a section of the pattern in one piece of a whole sheet in the bottom corner of my paper measuring what section I needed to cut by the aprox size of my photo.

Next I matted my photo on paper, cutting the mat 2cms wider and taller than the photo glue the photo onto this mat. Next cut another piece of Pattern paper the same size as your mat and punch the right hand facing side with the daisy border punch. Place the paper down onto your layout and slot the photo & mat down under the cut out pattern. when you are happy with the placement glue both pieces down.

I used my Scissors to cut a little mouse body and punched out 2 circles for the ears and a wiggly tail shape. Glue these altogether and glue at the bottom of the patterned paper.  

Add a title next, I used a mix of Capitals & small font of the same alphabet and another very small font.

Now cut a 12″ strip of the same patterned paper you cut the photo mat out of and punch with the embossing border punch, glue this towards the bottom of your Layout Horizontally.

I also added Journalling, Cutting strips of paper 1cms wide, your message wrote on with pen then trimmed to size, Ink the edges and glue onto your Layout by the edge of the title.

Lastly for a little interest I have added Bling swirls. there are a few ways of doing this .. either draw little dots by hand and place crystals on each dot. Buy a already prepaired swirl pattern or you can now buy templates !
