You can use your Fiskars Shapecutter plus with a variety of Fiskars templates to produce unusual gift ideas, all you need is a little imagination and the sky’s the limit. We would love to see what unusual creations you can produce, so do share them with us and we can gain some inspiration from you too
Â
Use the Fiskars Shapecutter plus with your cutting mat, cardstock and the Fiskars Box 3 template to make pretty little gift boxes or party favour boxes in an array of colours and different designs.
Â
The Fiskars box templates come supplied with scoring guides to allow you to build the box with ease…
Â
and instructions for scoring and assembling the boxes are supplied on the scoring guide.
Â
The template for this Party favour box also includes a shape for the box insert along with four various shapes you can use for decoration.
Â
However you don’t HAVE to use the shapes included, you can decorate your box in any way you wish. I chose to use two other Fiskars shape templates to create birds to adorn my mini gift set. The birds body is the large leaf shape cut from the Fiskars Flowers 1 template. The birds wing is the candle flame shape cut from the Fiskars Celebration template.
Â
Inking the edges for definition and assembling as shown, all you need to add is a handcut beak and then draw the legs and eye with a pen. If you wish your bird to face in the other direction just reverse your paper before cutting so that the right side of the paper is face down.
Â
The mini card and envelope were created by using the Shapecutter plus with the Rectangle template. The 5″ x 3″ rectangle will produce the shape for the envelope and using your Fiskars embossing tool to score a line at 2.1″ from the edge and another at 4.2″ from the same edge will allow you to fold the envelope with ease.  Add  a 1″ x 3″ piece of co-ordinating paper cut with the Fiskars lace border punch for a decorative edge and DS tape for closure.
Â
The mini card uses the 4″ x 2.5″ shape on your Fiskars Rectangle template.  Ink the edges and score 2″ from the edge and fold before adding your pre- assembled bird for decoration to the front. On the inside you can add post it notes cut to 2″ x 1.5″ to write your message(s)

You could add little promise notes such as …. I promise to make you breakfast in bed… or the kids can use them to promise to help out with chores on Mum’s Birthday or add promises of kisses and cuddles etc.
Happy creating
Chris xx
